Job Description
How does your working day look like …
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks, in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders accurately, and making personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, including the brewing area, equipment, and service areas, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and replenish coffee supplies, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients, to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to coordinate food and beverage orders and deliver a seamless dining experience to guests.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, including cash handling, inventory management, and sanitation standards.
- Stay informed about coffee trends, brewing techniques, and product knowledge to enhance the guest experience and contribute to menu development.
- Assist with special events, promotions, and other hotel activities as needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude, work cooperatively with colleagues, and contribute to a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications
Your personality counts more than your CV …
- Previous experience as a barista in a hotel, restaurant, café, or similar setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other coffee equipment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact courteously with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, beverage recipes, and quality standards.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality or food service is a plus.
