We are looking for a passionate and talented Social Media Intern to join our team. As a Social Media Intern you will have the opportunity to showcase your filming and video editing expertise. Key focus would be to create engaging content for our social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok.



Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Capture and edit short and long form video content on the phone for all our social media channels.
  • Write captions and copy for social media posts that resonate with our target audience.
  • Edit videos using native mobile editing apps.
  • Stay uptodate with happenings in Dubai social media trends features and best practices.
  • Assist with other social media tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree programme (e.g. Filming Communications Digital Media etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in filming on the phone and video editing using mobile editing apps.
  • Attend events during outofoffice hours.
  • Ability to think outside the box when developing content ideas.
  • Passion for social media and a solid understanding of popular platforms including Instagram TikTok and more.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of analytics tools and metrics to track the performance of social media content is a plus.
  • Dynamic and proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and inspire a team of writers, reporters, and contributors to produce high-quality content for digital and print platforms. Develop and execute an effective content strategy that aligns with the brand's objectives and resonates with our target audience. Plan, assign, write, and edit articles, features, and daily online news stories, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to the brand's editorial standards. Stay updated on industry trends, news, and developments to ensure the brand's content remains timely and relevant. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including industry experts and partners, to enhance content quality and coverage. Ensure the timely publication of content across various platforms, including the brand's website, social media channels, and print publications. Monitor and analyse content performance metrics to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and professional growth. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field. A minimum of five years of editorial experience, prior experience in B2B publishing is preferred. Required Skills: Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills. Strong editorial skills including editing, proofreading, and fact checking. Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics. Excellent organisational and project management skills. Proficient in using editorial software and tools. Strong knowledge of digital publishing platforms, content management systems, and SEO best practices. Paywall experience. Project budget management skills. Desirable Attributes: Passionate about the GCC technology market. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills. Knowledgeable about the latest trends in the travel industry. Energetic, self-motivated, and results driven. International roaster of travel writers and photographers.
