What will you do:
- Course Maintenance Excellence: Ensure optimal playing conditions by managing mowing, watering, and maintenance of all course areas including greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers.
- Turf Management: Supervise planting, fertilizing, and pest control on turf, while also overseeing regular maintenance of course machinery and irrigation systems.
- Resource Management: Procure necessary materials within budget, plan renovations, and maintain records of all operational activities to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and supervise employees, emphasizing safety practices and efficient machinery operation, while prioritizing daily tasks and providing expert guidance.
- Quality Control and Communication: Conduct daily inspections, measure key performance indicators, and address any issues promptly. Maintain transparent communication with clients, staff, and management, suggesting improvements as necessary.
- Administrative and Relationship Management: Complete projects on time, manage inventory, track work hours, and coordinate with clients and support teams to achieve customer objectives effectively.
Required Skills to be successful:
Minimum Experience:
5 years of golf course maintenance experience, including 5 years in golf course or turf management, preferably as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of golf course construction and maintenance.
- Proficiency in turf management, including fertilizers and pest control.
- Understanding of drainage, irrigation, and lake water quality management.
