- Conduct thorough inspections of welding works to ensure compliance with established quality and safety standards.
- Interpret blueprints and project specifications to verify accurate welding requirements and procedures.
- Utilize various inspection techniques including visual inspection and nondestructive testing methods to assess weld quality and integrity.
- Coordinate with the welding team to provide guidance on proper welding techniques and practices.
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports on welding activities and compliance.
- Identify and address any welding defects or inconsistencies recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor and ensure the correct usage of welding equipment and materials to maintain project standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop and implement welding quality control procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest welding technologies and standards ensuring the agencys practices remain current and effective.
- Conduct training sessions for welding personnel to enhance their skills and understanding of compliance requirements.
Mechanical Diploma or ITI course in mechanical engineering. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in pipeline fitting within the Oil & Gas sector. Work experience certificate is mandatory. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of LPG systems, tanks, valves, and fittings. Familiarity with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines in the Oil & Gas industry. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Must be physically fit and able to work in potentially challenging conditions.
