• Helps colleagues set up restaurant and serving station. • Inspects all items that are to be used, for cleanliness and facilitate a smooth overall operation. Performs assigned work and mise en place. • Inspects assigned section constantly ensuring tables are correctly set. All area is clean and all supplies replenished. • Maintains all service stations in excellent condition. • Delivers orders promptly to kitchen, bar, and cashier, observing proper ordering procedures. • Assists in picking up order promptly and inspect all items before serving according to KOT; assist business if necessary. • Coordinates and co-operates with all restaurant staff including chefs, bus attendants, other waiters, cashiers and all the managers. • Completes any set up duties, replenishing supplies as needed leaving the restaurant clean and ready for the next shift. • Times the service to correspond with the pace of the guest. Follows house procedures and proper etiquette when serving. • Visually monitors section, anticipating all patrons’ needs to the greatest extend possible. • Removes all dirty dishes, any previous course items and all unused glassware. • Wiping the chinaware, silverware and glassware. • Informs guests about the special items for the day and menu change. • Serve food and beverage to the guest as per the course of order. • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the menu items and daily specials. • Explain the menu items in terms of preparation, ingredients and presentation. • Be aware of allergy information on menu items. • Answer inquiries about food and beverage items on the menu. • Pre-set table for the orders. • Deliver and serve food and drink at tables. • Use established food handling and serving technique.
