Job Description

  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of utilities (water, electricity, gas, telecommunications, etc.) for the construction project.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and utility companies to ensure proper integration of utilities within the project scope.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of utility requirements, including capacity needs, permits, regulatory compliance, and environmental impact.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities and utility providers to obtain necessary approvals, permits, and clearances.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific utility plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor and review utility designs, specifications, and construction drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of utility systems, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Coordinate utility relocations, diversions, and shutdowns in coordination with other project activities to minimize disruptions.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with utility-related regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Manage and resolve any utility-related issues, conflicts, or emergencies that may arise during the project.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of utility installations, operations, and maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams regarding utility-related matters.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between stakeholders, including contractors, utility companies, and internal project teams.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to utilities in construction projects.
