Job Title: QE Data Validator

The Role:

Client is migrating their applications and data from on-prem Hadoop ecosystems to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). A Data validator will work closely with Product and data engineers to understand migration scope and He/She needs to validate and certify applications and data migrated to

Responsibilities:

• Experience in application and data migration testing (preferably migration to GCP cloud)
• Prepare test approach for Big Data Testing & Cloud Migration testing
• Should have experience using Python and PySpark for data validation
• Should be able to perform parallel testing between two different environment
• Collaborate with Product owner to understand requirement and define test scenarios
• Understand Hadoop ecosystem, data flow and integration points
• Review existing test artifacts and ensure test coverage, fill in gaps if any
• Should also be able to develop all required test artifacts in its absence
• Should be able to understand test data need and create for test execution
• Should be able to write SQL, HQL and Big Query (BQ is optional)
• Should be able to compare large data sets or files by writing scripts
• Should be able to develop Python scripts to automate test scripts
• Should be able to participate and contribute into technical discussions
• Work collaboratively with a delivery team of Data Engineers, BI developers and Insight Analysts to test and deliver quality products
• Be accountable for the end-to-end testing of your product
• Provide ongoing support to stakeholders and business test users to perform UAT

'Must Have' Experience:

• 6+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer/Database Engineer
• 3+ years of experience in testing Big Data projects (Apache Hadoop)
• 2+ years of experience with Apache Hive
• 2+ years of experience with Python & Pyspark
• Experience working on a Data platform
• Experience with data migration (Onprem to Cloud)
• Experience with GCP and Big Query
• SAFe agile experience with certification (Optional)

'Nice to Have' Experience:

• Healthcare domain projects work experience
• Test Automation
• Datawarehouse test experience
