MECCA is currently looking for an experienced School Age Director. The school-age program (K-6th grade) provides before & after care for elementary school students. Our child-friendly facility continues school in a relaxing yet socially rich environment. Students are provided with homework assistance, tutoring, nutritious hot meals, and opportunities to socialize appropriately with their peers.

MECCA offers full-day programs with field trips and project-based learning activities for days when schools are closed to observe holidays, spring/winter break, professional development, and early dismissals. School-age students are mentored in leadership skills, conflict resolution, and good character and moral development.

Responsibilities:

• Write lesson plans which include various structured activities to meet the program participants' social, emotional, educational, and developmental needs.
• Serve as a staff member to ensure program ratios are met - including before and after school and summer camp programs.
• Create a monthly newsletter for the school-age program.
• Complete and turn in monthly attendance and CACFP forms to the administration.
• Assist with the recruitment, hiring & development of school-age staff.
• Perform administrative and supervisory duties to include: supervision, performance evaluations, training and coaching, planning, scheduling, assigning and work direction, employee recognition and discipline, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
• Complete semi-annual progress reports (service reports) for all students.
• Act as Supervisor for all school-age staff. Assist and/or lead School Age Staff meetings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience working with youth
