Supplier Expeditor

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Offer strong expediting support to assigned Category Buyers within Procurement and internal customers.
• Proactively engage with Suppliers to form agreements upon firm delivery dates in line with the purchase order requirements
• Mediate between Suppliers, Buyers, Project Managers and Scheduling to proactively communicate any potential delivery issues
• Develop strong working relationships with Suppliers
• Actively take steps to visit Suppliers to audit expediting schedules in line with and against agreed delivery dates
  

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Experienced expeditor working within an engineering or manufacturing industry
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office tools, including Teams and Project
• Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
• Experience of supplier management and developing excellent working relationships with both Suppliers and internal Customers
• Strong teamwork ethic
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
• Knowledge of one of the following is essential – Machining, Casting & Forging, Control Systems, H.V. Electric Motors, Gear Boxes or Mechanical Seal systems
