Summary of the role of Draughtsperson :
- Support engineers with the effective designs for specific contracts
- Produce accurate 2D (and 3D) drawings for customer approval and manufacturing
- Produce installation drawings and instruction packs
- Maintain supporting documentation associated with submittals and document
Key responsibilities for the role of Draughtsperson :
- Review contract drawings for any potential anomalies
- Visit construction sites as required to survey
- From clients engineering plans and drawings, produce a General Arrangement drawing, with appropriate connection interface details
- With support of an experienced engineering team, draught arrangements and manufacturing instructions
- Aid the Project Engineers in the co-ordination of
- Liaise with the client s engineering team/architect to obtain drawing approval
- Liaise with manufacturing and installation to ensure suitability
- Produce and issue detailed fabrication drawings to production
- Produce and issue detailed drawings of machined components for sub-contract manufacture (as applicable).
- Inspect finished products and ensure they are built to specification
- Liaise with and issue installation instructions to installation
- Develop and apply personal skills that contribute to effective team-working and be an advocate of promoting quality and excellence in all dealings with customers
- Be innovative and committed to continuous improvement; putting forward ideas and strategies that contribute to the company s and your success

Education or qualifications for the role of Draughtsperson:
- Minimum NVQ level 3 in an Engineering discipline; or
- Degree/HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline (Desirable).
- General working knowledge of the engineering industry and designing products into
- Autocad 2D

- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation (Desirable)
- Membership of an appropriate trade and/or professional association (Desirable)
- Autocad 3D, Solidworks, FEA experience (Desirable).
