Who are we:
We are a family run business who have been operating since 1933. We started out as retail butchers before expanding into the wholesale bakery business in 1994. We operate 8 box vans covering a large area in the North East, from North Yorkshire to the borders of Northumberland.
We supply to a range of businesss including, schools, universities, cafes, restaurants, sandwich delis, factory canteens, catering units and large food service providers.
We are looking to take on 2 production chefs for our bakery in Ferryhill.
Overview of the role -
The successful applicant will be provided with onsite training on all aspects of the bakery industry including knowledge of food hygiene along with a requirement to complete an online level 2 basic food hygiene course within the first three months of employment.
Duties will include:
Weighing ingredients
Mixing different dough s
Setting up of machines for correct product sizes
Moulding hand made products.
Wrapping goods ready for dispatch.
Documented ongoing training will be given to follow our policies and procedures to Salsa standard.
Working Week (days and hours)
Sunday to Thursday over shifts, 7am 4pm & 10am -6pm
Desired Skills -
The successful applicant must have a good understanding of basic Maths and English.

Have great enthusiasm to learning new skills, be able to work as part of a team.
Desired Qualifications -
3 GSCE s or the equivalent .
