The Senior Software Engineer is a fully participating member of an agile feature team with a minimum of 3 years handson TPF/ALCS development experience. Proven expertise in developing and implementing solutions and problem resolution independently. The role involves technical design software development implementation and maintenance software solutions/products that support the Emirates Group Business.

While the Senior Technical Software Engineer is a fully participating member of an agile feature team with a minimum of 5 years handson TPF/ALCS development experience who will support in driving and implementing software engineering strategies standards and guidelines in the assigned feature team. Collaborate with the team to develop business critical technical solutions through the application of software programming robust engineering practices and built in quality. Job also includes planning/estimation application development deployment release hypercare and operation of developed solutions. The job holder provides technical leadership to the assigned team in the software development lifecycle.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

Collaborate with the team to deliver and review technical design architecture patterns development and deployment of complex solutions within relevant product.
Drive the adoption of engineering practices to implement lean and testdriven software development following Agile methodologies.
Partner with crossfunctional teams to enable high level design drive proof ofconcepts implement prototypes to validate ideas and determine viability of solutions in medium to large projects.
Investigate debug fix complex issues and support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and presenting new technologies for architectural review.
Provide subject matter expertise on business domain actively contribute to sprint/work design and plan technology specific community of practices.
Manage mentor and train Software Engineers to ensure their technical deliveries adhere to coding standards and design practices.
Ensure optimal use of enterprise application platforms tools and libraries in line with the approved technology architecture and be responsible for corrective adaptive and preventative maintenance of products.

Qualifications & Experience: Degree or Honours (123 or equivalent): Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science Computational Mathematics Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Building and maintaining complex software solutions using Assembler(IBM HLASM) in an ALCS environment
• HLASM High level Assembly for development & supporting incidents
• Job Control Language and utilities for effective file handling including data transfer & offline data handling development in mainframe
• Restructur eXtended eXecutor (REXX) for automation & optimized ways of working
• ISO C for mainframe for enhancing the TPF/DF product.
• Java for mainframe for creating / enhancing interfaces in WASOLA WASOLA platform support
• Usage of SPM for structured programme development and TPF/DF calls for database handling.
• Creation and Consumption of WASOLA services for DCS/FQT/RES domain

• Development and support of RES (Reservations domain including One Order and New Distribution Capabilities)
