1. Prepares and/or reviews preliminary designs, working drawings, specifications, and cost estimates related to the project.
2. Performs a hands-on role as Project Engineer and coordinates a team of other architects, structural engineers and MEP engineers.
3. Communicate with client representatives, consultant, site engineers and subcontractors on issues related to architectural works.
4. Review architectural shop drawings for compliance with IBC Code, local requirements, project specifications, and tender fees.
5. Review subcontractor drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and contract agreements by examining them for technical accuracy in accordance with accepted principles. Approval and signing of plans that meet the required specifications.
6. Inspection of contractor submissions such as Inspector of Labor Request (ITR), and Material Inspection Request (MIR).
7. Attend coordination meetings with the project team, client, subcontractors and other stakeholders
8. Proceed as per engineers instructions and Notice of Change (NOV).
9. Site inspection and building supervision during and after construction for architectural quality, public safety, and compliance with specifications and codes.
10. Issuing site work instructions and a non-conformity report as appropriate.
11. Giving clear and understandable instructions to contractors to avoid false actions and errors.
12. Maintain daily logs and complete inspection records with photographs, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods.
13. Conduct final inspection, prepare defect list and ensure all defects are repaired by contractors.
14. Consult with principal consultant, contractors, engineers and other key members to ensure that ongoing development and structural support are properly integrated into the designed structures throughout the project life cycle
