Duties as Senior Optometrist
• To provide a wide range of optometric services.
• Diagnostic and Post-Operative refraction cases.
• Slit-lamp examination, keratometry, contact lens fitting and aftercare.
• To help out with the use of various diagnostic equipment including Corneal topography and pachmetry and Visual field assessment and Fluorescein Angiography.
• Routine dispensing cases.
• To conduct some clinical photographic work (training will be provided if required).
• To participate in Research Studies that might be ongoing at the Hospital.
• To refract patients at the request of doctors, to present the results of test, and to work as part of the team providing care to the patient. This is not a stand alone Optometry service, where patients would come in simply to have a regular check and to have a new special prescription prepared.
