Senior Operations Engineer - Architect

Job Summary

The Architect has a crucial role in different stages of a project corresponding with representatives from other Units, Departments, Vendors, and Site Managers. The job responsibilities are listed as below:

Responsibilities:

• Schedule start and end dates in coordination with Engineering Support Group.
• Manage time and resources for priority jobs without delaying planned projects.
• Listing Proponent Requirements: Understand the Proponent's Requirements - Functions, activities, preferences, budget, timeline, priorities.
• Fill up a form prior to visiting the facility and taking pictures.
• Develop concept design - Free hand, 2D, or 3D CADD presentations, including main ideas.
• Study budgetary estimates that fit the proponent's requirements.
• Prepare presentations: Hardcopies on boards or digital presentations on PowerPoint.
• Give verbal presentations.
• Document minutes of meeting.
• Develop design options and estimates.
• Work closely with assigned Architect: At the Engineering Group or with the Interior Design in-house Architect.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines: Mechanical, electrical, communication.
• Ensure completion of tasks and implementation of comments.
• Review Construction Drawings and Scope of Work.
• Select and specify interior and exterior finishes and lighting fixtures.
• Include selection and specification of furniture, accessories, and signage.

  • Discuss contractors' queries and concerns before job bid.
  • Approve all submittals by the contractor.
  • Provide construction support, including site supervision.
  • Resolve design issues by providing detailed drawings.

Requirements:

• This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
• 15 years' design experience in an architectural office
• Architectural Registration in the US or UK
• Member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects) or RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects)
• Excellent command of the English language
