Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

AECOM's Middle East Rail team are currently seeking an Senior Engineer - Mechanical Design with a portfolio of built work in metro's and rail to join our team in the Dubai office.

The Mechanical Engineer will be an advocate for design excellence within the office through an integrated and collaborative approach. The Design Leader consistently exhibits and demonstrates a commitment to AECOM’s core values – Collaboration, Creativity, Community, Integrity and the Environment.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to successful project completion and management by providing expert technical services in accordance with the project time and quality.
• Lead the coordination process with other Directors for continuity of the project.
• Participate in preparation of bids and proposals on the commercial and technical side.
• Review and check specifications, reports and drawings to ensure quality of design and output.
• Assess if targets are achieved and determine where improvements could be made to increase efficiency.
• Responsible for design activities of complete MEP systems as assigned. Responsible for technical analysis and resolution of engineering problems.
• Responsible for technical reviews of internal and external projects.
• Supervise and direct a team of engineers, designers and support personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience in transit / rail and metros
• Proven related professional experience in Engineering (MEP) Practice particularly with Rail assets
• Experience of working on large scale projects including site experience particularly with Rail assets
