Senior Director of Operations

• Develop the operations strategy aligning with Region Middle East objectives.
• Communicate the strategy across the region, ensuring area offices receive necessary support for effective implementation.
• Drive, steer, and deliver Regional and Global Projects within the specified scope.
• Oversee Region Middle East Areas, supporting offices to achieve targets.
• Ensure professional and timely information flow across Region Middle East Areas.
• Ensure adherence to company standards by terminals, agency offices, and partner lines.
• Oversee management of company-owned and leased equipment, including maintenance and repair.
• Develop and execute container terminal strategies, enforcing standards for efficiency and excellence.
• Ensure efficient loading and discharging of all operated vessels in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Communicate regularly with local directors/managers, providing updates on corporate policies and procedures.
• Ensure timely development of the yearly Operations Budget for the Region and Areas, supervising figures to meet or exceed expectations.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• 10-15 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Extensive experience in international shipping companies or an adjacent industry, preferably in the Operations department.
• Exceptional ability to inspire and motivate people.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• High Project Management knowledge with outstanding communication skills.
• Experience in negotiating and delivering results.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Organizes people and activities to leverage synergies, achieving more with fewer resources.
