Senior Database Engineer

• Bachelor or higher in Computer Science or any equivalent education.
• 5 years in large organizations preferably in the banking industry.
• Ability to work under pressure

• Ability to work on multiple engineering priorities
  

Technical Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration
• Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture and internals
• Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL HA and clustering
• Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL monitoring tools
• Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL backup/restore mechanisms
• Excellent knowledge of database patching/upgrades
• Excellent knowledge of database auditing, logging and security practices
• Excellent knowledge of Performance Tuning and Diagnostics
• Excellent knowledge of Database migration
• Good knowledge of SQL and PG PL/SQL
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
• Good knowledge of Agile working practices
• Good knowledge of modern automation technologies (e.g. Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform)
• Good knowledge of scripting (Bash, Python)
