Job Description
Education and Training: Hold a bachelor's degree in medicine with a specialty or additional training in pediatrics. A fellowship or advanced program in pediatrics can be beneficial.
Licensure and Professional Classifications: Must be registered and licensed to practice pediatrics. There may be professional classifications or certifications required in some countries.
Experience: Previous work in the field of pediatrics, whether in hospitals, clinics or health units. Experience managing a variety of pediatric health conditions is important.
Medical Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of common diseases of children, recent medical developments in the field of pediatrics, appropriate treatments and preventive health care.
