What THE SENIOR SOLICITOR role looks like .

We are looking for an experienced Senior Solicitor to join our multidisciplinary team at Kimberley Community Legal Service in As a Senior Solicitor, you will be working closely with our Principal Solicitor to deliver legal advice, information, advocacy, representation and education services to clients throughout the East

No two days will look the same in this role, but a typical day might entail .

Provide professional support, mentorship and supervision to other staff as required, including junior solicitors, legal interns, pro bono lawyers and

Participate in identifying law reform priorities and participate in strategies to address

Participate in interagency networks and build/maintain relationships with referring agencies, key organisations, community leaders and local people relevant to the

Assist the Principal Solicitor and the Manager to prepare service delivery plans and other plans and strategies as

Undertake appropriate professional development activities to maintain and enhance the knowledge and skills required to fulfil the responsibilities of the



Requirements

Eligibility to hold an unrestricted practising certificate in Western

Casework and advocacy experience in civil law in at least one of the following areas: tenancy, child protection, family violence, or family Minimum 3 years of practice experience

Critical interpersonal communication skills, including communicating with clients with empathy and reflecting on lawyering

Critical written skills, including the ability to write sophisticated legal concepts in plain Sound organisational skills and ability to manage workload, competing demands, meet deadlines and to work effectively as part of a

Understanding and commitment to principles of social justice and to working effectively with Indigenous

Experience in advising and representing people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and in developing and delivering community education

Personal resilience, adaptability and ability to meet the challenges of remote service

Successful applicants will need to provide references, a recent WA Police Clearance, current Working with Children s Check, and their working rights in
