You will be responsible to support the hotels revenue function in executing long and short-term revenue management strategies towards the advancement of RevPAR market share. Assists Director of Revenue in ensuring the successful application and continuous development of Revenue Management techniques for maximizing the generation of rooms revenue.
Job Duties:
1. Oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotel and manage day-to-day yield operations.
2. Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting.
3. Perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends.
4. Create and maintain a 12-month rolling demand calendar.
5. Provide a weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances, and budget comparisons.
6. Manage and oversee strategy for all 3rd party distribution
7. Responsible for assessing, analysing, and pricing group business strategies
8. Analyse overall monthly hotel performance and provide a summary report with recommendations to improve long-term strategies.
9. Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity
10. Ensure web site booking process is maintained up-to-date and functional.
11. Ensure hotel personnel is fully competent in the use of all systems
12. Work in liaison with hotel sales and reservations departments as a team.
13. Regularly check the input and the quality of data (segmentation, denials tracking, etc ) points.
14. Conduct quarterly property performance reviews and assists Director of Revenue in developing strategic and tactical action
15. Responsible for best practice standards to include competitor analysis; environmental scanning; market modelling; distribution yield management; business mix yield management; length of stay yield management; inventory availability by channel; pricing control and new pricing concepts
16. Evaluate the performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, tour operator, corporate, consortia, groups, etc ).
17. Reduce the cost of distribution by finding new less expensive means of delivering business
18. Prepare an outline for and support the annual revenue budget process.
19. Inspire Hotel s HODs to further embed a revenue management culture.
20. Advise and coach the client in other operational areas.
21. Chairs the Revenue Meeting during the absence of Director of Revenue
22. Prepares the weekly reporting for Revenue Meetings
23. Responsible for Rate Loading in all channels and systems ensuring that input standards of rate codes are met, selling strategies are being followed and the hotel offers rate parity
24. Monitor RMS daily to maximize the revenue of the hotel and control the BAR levels on all channels
25. Work in partnership with Reservations, Sales & Finance to ensure financial targets are met
26. Maintain appropriate records of education, training, skills and experience
27. Assists Director of Revenue in all duties pertaining to the department as needed.
28. Promotes and maintains good public relations and uses every opportunity to maximize business.
29. Responsible that allocation and allocation top ups for Tour Operators are loaded correctly in the PMS system

31. Controls inventory in PMS by balancing room types for future dates
32. Assist Delphi Key Operator in maintaining the interface between Delphi and PMS
33. Ensure that turn-aways are tracked correctly in the PMS system and communicate short falls to the reservations team
34. Ensure timely follow up on tentative group bookings with MICE team
35. Attend & record weekly business-on-the-books meetings
36. Data & PMS system maintenance (expired rate codes, packages, double profiles)
37. Rate loading in PMS & CRS 38. Perform any other duties that management may reasonably require.
