Job Description

- Provide directions and trainings to the Reservations team to ensure efficient delivery of operations including but not limited to room inventory control and availability, accurate rate loading and audit, individual and group reservations upselling and forecasting
- Support team members’ development by providing supervision, coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, recognition for good performance and career development guidance
- Practice strategic thinking and knowledge of market trends to accelerate hotel performance
- Work with internal stakeholders including Revenue, Sales and Marketing and restaurants manager to maximize revenue and anticipate/resolve issues.
- Delivers a pro-active sales culture within the department, exercising and ensuring proper selling and up-selling techniques are implemented to generate maximum revenue for the hotel
- Work with the Sales director to maintain and develop a high level of service with all our partners (Wholesalers, luxury travel agents, Consortia, Corporate)
- Understand seasonal and historical trends and work within them to ensure maximum occupancy and average room rates
- Identify new contacts, develop sales leads and respond to sales opportunities in order to maximize revenue for individual bookings and group bookings of less than 10 rooms
