Research Assistant - Grant

Job Description Research Assistant position is available in the laboratory of Neurodegenerative disease research at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to investigate the role of Parkinson's disease associated gene, Parkin in in vitro and in vivo models. The position is supported by Al Jalila Foundation Research grant.

Requirements
Minimum Qualification The ideal candidate should have an advanced degree in Biological Science/Biochemistry. Expected Skills/Rank/Experience It is expected that the person is highly motivated, hardworking and can work independently. Good understanding of cell culture, handling mouse, experience with basic microscopy, staining techniques (immunohistochemistry), basic biochemistry and molecular biology skills (e.g. Western blotting, cloning, PCR) are required.
