Key Tasks:
Governance
-You will be responsible for the delivery of safe clinical governance and feed in to the group clinical governance framework, ensuring you and your team submit your data for the quarterly clinical governance meetings.
-Complete mandatory prospective and retrospective audits to ensure that all standards are met and where variances are detected, ensure that remedial action plans are put in place to deliver swift corrective remedies. Where necessary you will assist conducting audits at other sites and accept audits from these sites.
Operations
- You will ensure that your site is fully compliant with the required safety standards. This will include ensuring the building and equipment are well maintained. You will need to work closely with the Head of Facilities to ensure timely maintenance is carried out.
- Managing capacity to demand by opening clinic and theatre schedules as business conditions demand whilst maintaining a safe environment.
-Attend regular meetings at your location or at head-quarters as required You will ensure that your site is fully compliant with the required safety standards. CQC
-Maintain relationships on a regular basis with the local CQC team
-Ensure that regulations used by CQC are maintained, monitored and notifications submitted as required and recorded at all times
-Maintain CQC KPIs at all times
-Ensure a good understanding of CQC frameworks
Finance
-Assist in maintaining the appropriate stock levels at your site
Provide support in cost management to ensure effective use of resources
-Work the head quarter finance department to ensure successful implementation of the annual budget
-Monitor on a monthly basis actual performance versus budget (costs and revenue) providing explanations for any significant variances.
Qualifications
-Clinical qualification at degree level or NVQ L5 (or willing to obtain)
Experience
-Significant management experience within the Hospital setting
-5 extensive clinical experience advantageous
-Able to demonstrate experience of patient and public engagement
Leadership, coaching and Development skills essential
