Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze project cost estimates budgets and cash flow projections for steel construction projects.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and measurements from architectural and engineering drawings to determine material quantities and labor requirements.
• Source and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive bids for materials equipment and services.
• Monitor project expenditures track costs against budgets and identify any variances or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to forecast project costs and provide regular updates on financial performance.
• Review and validate contractor payment applications change orders and invoices for accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements.
• Prepare detailed progress reports cost reports and financial analyses to support project decisionmaking and reporting requirements.
• Conduct costbenefit analyses and value engineering assessments to optimize project profitability and efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents contracts and procurement strategies as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends pricing fluctuations and regulatory changes affecting construction costs and procurement practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or related field. Masters degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry preferably with a focus on steel structures and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and costs particularly related to steel constructions.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools such as CostX Bluebeam or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimations.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers subcontractors and project teams.
• Familiarity with UAE construction regulations standards and procurement practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
• Professional accreditation or certification in quantity surveying is preferred.
