Job Overview
Our client is in search of an experienced Program Management Warehousing Lead to oversee all warehousing activities within the shipbuilding organization. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient storage inventory management and logistics operations while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all warehouse operations including receiving storage inventory control and distribution of materials and equipment required for shipbuilding projects. Implement best practices to optimize warehouse efficiency and minimize operational costs.
• Act as a mentor to trainees in the warehousing department providing guidance support and technical expertise to facilitate their growth and development as subject matter experts. Document trainee progress and provide feedback to aid in their professional advancement.
• Utilize your certification as an assessor or readiness to obtain one to assess and certify warehouse processes and personnel as per organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Leverage your experience from prominent shipbuilding organizations to introduce and implement best practices in warehouse management. Share knowledge and insights to enhance efficiency accuracy and safety in warehouse operations.
• Develop and maintain inventory control systems and procedures to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of materials and equipment. Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with top classification society standards and requirements such as IACS ABS BV DNV LR RINA etc. throughout warehouse operations. Maintain accurate documentation to demonstrate compliance.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to coordinate the timely delivery of materials and equipment to the warehouse. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability of deliveries.
• Coordinate logistics activities including transportation loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field preferred with additional certifications or training in warehouse management being advantageous.
• Proficient English communication skills with a minimum IELTS band score of 7 or equivalent essential for mentoring trainees and documenting their progress.
• Documented history of being a certified assessor or eligibility to become one demonstrating the ability to assess and certify warehouse processes and personnel.
• Proven track record of working at prominent shipbuilding organizations with significant experience in warehousing and logistics roles. Bring along best practices and behaviors to enhance operations.
• Demonstrated experience working on projects adhering to top classification society standards/requirements such as IACS ABS BV DNV LR RINA etc.
• Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to lead and motivate teams toward achieving common warehousing goals. Ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
