Our client, a manufacturing company, is looking to hire a Food Safety Officer who will be responsible for or maintaining the highest level of Food Hygiene and Safety standards in the company and ensure that all the staff is practicing good hygiene practices (GHP) throughout the Supply Chain.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work mostly in the production areas, monitoring that food safety procedures are being followed.
Ensure proper documentation and records are completed by the responsible parties.
Help maintain the ISO 22000:2018 certification such as food production area and all areas involved in the Food chain.
Enforce food safety program and procedures, GMP policy and personal hygiene policies.
Perform and record Food Safety inspection and report any irregularities and take proper corrective action.
Verify and communicate to appropriate departments any findings as it relates to food safety issues.
Report and assist with correcting any unsanitary conditions in food preparation and food storage/receiving area.
Report any required maintenance/replacement of food preparation equipment, surfaces and tools.
Assist to maintain, and update all records, manuals, training procedures, product specification documents.
Assist with preparation for any and all food safety audits.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food premises.
Ensures that all potential and real Health and Safety hazards are reported and reduced immediately.
Ensures that employees work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
Stimulates and encourages a general awareness of health and safety in tasks and activities carried out within production and warehouses.
Ensures that the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, is maintained by all employees in supply chain.
The requirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge, Skill and/or ability required to perform this job satisfactorily
Should be HACCP/Food Safety trained.
Applicants should possess relevant educational qualifications.
Work experience of at least 3 years in a similar field is needed.
Experience in inspecting Food premises, writing reports, and filling the check-lists.
Specialized qualification in food safety and hygiene will be an advantage.
Should possess excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with all Departments
The ideal candidate should be meticulous and pay attention to details
Very good computer skills.
Part Time
