Principal Engineer Navigation

• Review a product concept design to ensure high probability of mission success.
• Review a developmental product functional specification to ensure system can meet performance specifications.
• Identify and manage development of all algorithms required to implement navigation solution.
• Set up simulation environment to enable development of navigation algorithms.
• Ensure simulation architecture will lead to successful development of navigation algorithms.
• Review developed algorithms and supervise testing of algorithms in the simulation environment.
• Manage full test and evaluation of a navigation system and clear system for operational use.
• Train junior engineers in all aspects of a navigation system development.
• Identify new tools and test equipment required to improve accuracy of navigation solutions.
• Identify new algorithms for improvement of navigation performance.
• Identify new navigation techniques, sensors and systems to ensure mission success of products.
• Advise management on the long-term direction of the development directions for navigation systems.
  

Experience & Education Qualifications:

• Master degree in electronics or mechanical engineering
• Fifteen years’ experience in the development of algorithms, simulation and modelling
