Job Description
Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and forecast material needs.
Review project plans and specifications to determine material and equipment requirements.
Lead and supervise a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Monitor inventory levels and track material usage to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring that orders are placed accurately and timely.
