- Reviews, interprets, clarifies Doctors medications orders and Verifies ALL orders doses, duration, and checks for potential drug to drug interaction and clinical indication. Communicates with ordering doctor in case of any ambiguity or concern.
- Oversees the preparation of the verified medications, performs double-checking and review of proper labeling for the prepared medications and then dispenses.
- Calculates the amount of the drug product to dispense for a prescription based upon body weight and patient age.
- Performs computer entry of outside prescriptions or orders into CPOE of Fakeeh care HIS before dispensing.
- When covering outpatient areas. Ensures prompt and timely calling of patients to dispensing windows and aims at reducing patients waiting time to the minimum possible.
