• A masters degree in Computer Science or in a related field, with at least 3-5 years of work experience
  
• Experience using Java 7+, Maven, Eclipse IDE, Git SCM, Linux, Cloud (Amazon Web Services)
  
• Knowledge of persistence technologies, such as relational databases & ORM (JPA, EclipseLink, Hibernate), NoSQL databases and document stores (Couchbase or MongoDb)
  
• A background in JEE, including a solid understanding of the servlet, RESTful (JAXRS) & Java persistence
  
• Knowledge in Spring framework (Spring IoC/DI, Spring Data, Spring Batch) and search technologies (Elasticsearch, Solr & Lucene)
  
• Experience using build automation / CI platforms like Maven (or ) and Jenkins, including automated integration & acceptance
  
• Experience with Big Data Technologies such as Spring XD, Hadoop, Cascading, HIVE, PIG,
  
• Experience with in-depth Java work/research, including design patterns, object-oriented design principles & refactoring
