- Patient Assessment:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
- Document findings accurately and timely in the patient's medical record.
- Nursing Care Planning and Implementation:
- Develop individualized care plans based on patients' needs, medical history, and treatment goals.
- Implement nursing interventions and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Medication Administration:
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following prescribed dosages and routes.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Educate patients about their medications, including proper administration techniques and potential side effects.
- Patient Education:
- Provide patients and their families with information about their health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Teach patients how to manage their conditions at home, including medication management, dietary changes, and lifestyle modifications.
- Address patients' questions and concerns, offering support and guidance as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring that important information is shared and understood.
- Advocate for patients' needs and rights, promoting a patient-centered approach to care.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards of nursing practice, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
