Job Description

- Assists the Registered Nurse in the clinic environment.
- Chaperons the patient when being interviewed and examined by the Doctor.
- Changes bed linens; Helping patients to do their daily routine like bathing, toileting, eating, resting, etc.; Assists the patient to undress/re-dress.
- Prepares the patient for examination.
- Acts as a guide to direct patients to other departments in the Hospital.
- Maintains good reliable documentation of nursing observations and actions, under constant supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Ensures care is taken to safeguard patients/significant others at all times and that system utilized in identifying risks and reporting occurrence.
- Provides evidence based care, based on international standards, guidelines, clinical pathways and nursing policies and procedures.
- Observes Standard Precautions as per CDC, OSHA and Kuwait MOH guidelines.
- Understands role/responsibilities in Emergency Action Plans and responds appropriately.
- Identifies the need for continuing education and updates their knowledge, maintaining their ownin-service record.
