Time Out is looking for an experienced, data-driven Newsletter Editor with a knack for clickable headlines and experience of growing an engaged email audience. A key part of the Time Out GCC team, they will be a skilled editor with a passion for analytics, and ready to lead the direction and execution of Time Out s newsletter strategy in across brands in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Newsletter Editor will primarily be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Building out, executing and constantly refining Time Out s newsletter strategy across the region.
  • Editing and dispatching daily and weekly newsletters for Time Out brands.
  • Constantly monitoring analytics and adjusting content and approach to meet audience growth goals.
  • Identify, develop and launch new newsletter formats relevant to our audience and brand objectives.
  • Build out audience profiles and segment databases accordingly, ensuring subscribers are only receiving content that is genuinely relevant to them.
  • Work with the web, editorial and performance teams to target potential audiences and promote newsletters, developing creative ways to grow subscribers.
  • Provide regular feedback to editors and writers on performance.
  • Advise editors and writers on producing content that performs well for newsletter formats.
  • Produce weekly performance reports for the Editorial Director.
  • Meet individual weekly targets as agreed with the Editorial Director.
  • Ensure all content produced fits within Time Out s brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Work closely with Time Out s design team to develop creative concepts for marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Work with the Editorial Director to ensure ALL content reflects overall content / editorial strategy.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with Time Out s commercial team.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least four years digital copy-editing experience.
  • Proven record of digital audience growth.
  • Experience working with a CMS and SEO tools.
  • Understanding of the Middle East s dynamic cultural identity, and a passion for new experiences.
