Job Title: NDT Technician

Department: Quality Assurance / Inspection

Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager

Job Overview: The NDT (NonDestructive Testing) Technician is responsible for conducting various nondestructive examinations to ensure the integrity and reliability of components and structures. This role requires a detailoriented individual with a strong technical background capable of using advanced NDT methods and adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct NonDestructive Tests:
   

   • Perform NDT methods including but not limited to Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Penetrant Testing (PT) Radiographic Testing (RT) and Visual Inspection (VT).
     
   • Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable codes standards and specifications.
     

2. Documentation and Reporting:
   

   • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting the techniques used findings and recommendations.
     
   • Maintain clear and accurate records of inspections and tests for quality assurance and traceability.
     

3. Equipment Maintenance:
   

   • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of NDT equipment.
     
   • Identify and rectify issues or malfunctions in testing equipment.
     

4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
   

   • Adhere strictly to company policies safety guidelines and legal regulations.
     
   • Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in NDT technologies and methods.
     

5. Collaboration and Communication:
   

   • Work closely with other team members including engineers production personnel and other technicians to ensure timely execution of NDT services.
     
   • Effectively communicate findings concerns and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
     

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in NDT technology is highly preferred.
  
• Certification in NDT methods relevant to the job (ASNT PCN or equivalent) based on the employer s requirements.
  
• Proven experience as an NDT Technician in a relevant industry.
