Medical Laboratory Technologist

? Ensure the efficient running of the assigned section/department/lab, which includes routine work of different aspects of clinical investigations, sterilization of laboratory equipment, etc.
? Collect and process samples, verify specimen identification and investigate and resolve testing issues.
? Perform special handling and packing of referral samples.
? Ensure that sufficient quantities of laboratory chemicals, test kits and equipment are available at all times. Includes raising requisitions and taking stock.
? Prepare basic laboratory reagents.
? Mail and file lab reports.
? Maintain all instrumentation and testing procedures within established quality control standards.
? Ensure that the proper disposal of Laboratory Contaminated Medical Waste and Sharp items in compliance with current HSE regulations.
