- Ensure that the organization’s Inventory, Suppliers, Brand, Debtors and Creditors data are properly managed and maintained centrally.
- Ensure the organization’s data is accurate, complete, and consistent across all enterprise systems and applications.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the organization’s data needs are met.
- Data Quality Improvisation. By establishing a single, authoritative source of accurate and consistent data, MDM helps to minimize data inconsistencies and reduce errors.
- Define the rules and processes for data governance and collaborate with the MDM team to ensure that the MDM solution is aligned with the data governance framework.
- MDM acts as the foundation for data integration by establishing a unified view of core data elements and ensuring the consistency and quality of data before it is integrated with other systems.
- Minimize errors and ensure that data is being used in a consistent and controlled manner, leading to improved data governance and increased confidence in the data.
- Helps to automate data management processes, reducing the need for manual intervention and freeing up time for more valuable tasks.
- MDM can help improve data security by providing a centralized and secure repository for critical business data.
