Opportunity
Join Shorooq Partners for a Program Intern, part of SHFT You will be exposed to the MENAPT fast-growing startup ecosystem and our portfolio You ll be in a unique position to support the development and delivery of key ecosystem programs and initiatives for the firm and our portfolio
In addition to the learning and exposure, you will get the chance to work with a driven team that has a positive, can-do The Programs Intern will support the Programs Manager in executing ecosystem building programs and initiatives under SHFT and identifying business opportunities for the firm and our portfolio
Requirements
As a programs intern, youll need to:
Support community engagement for our portfolio companies across relevant programs and Identifying requirements and coordinating with the Programs Manager to support and action on portfolio requirements
Lead on developing sectoral studies to understand emerging trends and opportunities and identify business growth opportunities through partnerships or initiatives
Support on maintaining operations and software utilized in running the program and coordinate with relevant partners, startups and team members as required
Research the regional and global ecosystems and stakeholders to identify and source potential partnership opportunities
Coordinate with the Program Manager on data collection and reporting to measure and analyze program performance as well as develop insights and suggestions for improvement
Qualifications and Requirements:
- University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science or relevant education
- Interest in startups, incubator and accelerator programs, workshops and training
- Knowledge of the startup ecosystem and stakeholders
- Interest to develop sector-focused knowledge, research and data analysis
- Self-starter with entrepreneurial vision, critical thinking
- Innovative and creative mindset, very organized, good presentation skills
