Marine Engineer

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

§ Execution and planning experience of breakwaters, beaches, groynes, dredging and reclamation and other coastal maritime structures.

§ Familiar with Dubai coastal requirements and marine works submissions workflow

§ Knowledge of authority requirements for waterfront and marina projects

§ Waterfront development master plans, beach and edge protection supervision

§ Excellent communication, with strong verbal and excellent written English and presentation skills

§ Strong client facing skills and have worked for a marine construction on a PMC role

§ Experience in technical proposal preparation and work winning would be an advantage.

§ Familiarity with local codes and construction NOC implementation

§ Review and circulate the design of marine, including offshore structures, coastal facilities, and marine transportation components for the construction project.

§ Address navigational considerations for marine access to the construction site, optimizing logistics and ensuring safety during transportation of materials and personnel.

§ Coordinate with marine barge and equipment suppliers to ensure the availability and functionality of marine assets required for the project.

§ Ensure strict adherence to maritime regulations, class society standards, and international conventions relevant to marine engineering in the offshore construction context

§ Conduct risk assessments specific to marine engineering aspects, identifying and mitigating potential hazards to enhance project safety and success

§ Knowledge of associated tools and techniques.

§ Knowledge of the design of marinas would be an advantage.
