Logistics Specialist

Our client a wellknown automotive accessories firm is currently looking to hire for a Logistics Specialist in Dubai. In this role you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of automotive parts and products throughout their supply chain. Other responsibilities would include but not limited to:

• Supply Chain Management: Manage the endtoend logistics process including procurement transportation warehousing and distribution of automotive parts and products.
  
• Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or excesses. Implement inventory optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  
• Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers to coordinate inbound shipments track delivery schedules and resolve any issues or delays. Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable deliveries.
  
• Transportation Management: Arrange transportation services negotiate contracts with carriers and oversee the transportation of goods to various locations. Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  
• Warehousing Operations: Oversee warehouse activities including receiving storing and shipping automotive parts and products. Implement best practices for warehouse organization layout and workflow to enhance productivity and safety.
  
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of shipments. Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing goods to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  
• Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain documentation related to logistics activities such as shipping records invoices and customs documentation. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing transportation and logistics operations.
  
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the logistics function. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement solutions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  

Requirements

To be considered in this role you need to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
  
• Proven experience in logistics operations within the automotive industry is a plus with a strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices
  
• Proficiency in logistics software and systems such as ERP WMS and TMS platforms.
  
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to analyze data identify trends and make datadriven decisions.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  
• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g. APICS CSCMP) is a plus.
