Logistics Manager - Offshore

The role will be responsible for managing, coordinating and optimizing the transportation of construction materials, equipment, and personnel, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of logistics operations, including jetty activities.

§ Transport Planning: Develop comprehensive transport plans for the efficient movement of construction materials, equipment, and personnel, considering project timelines and resource optimization.

§ Fleet Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of a diverse fleet, including concrete mixer trucks, trailers, and other specialized vehicles, ensuring their availability and reliability for construction activities.

§ Barge and Marine Operations: Coordinate the transportation of construction materials and manpower via barges and passenger boats ensuring adherence to safety standards, timely loading and unloading, and compliance with marine transportation schedules.

§ Jetty Operations: Manage jetty logistics, including docking and undocking procedures, to facilitate the smooth flow of materials, equipment, and personnel between the island and mainland.

§ Vendor Management: Collaborate with transportation vendors and marine service providers, negotiate contracts, and establish partnerships to ensure reliable and cost-effective logistics services.

§ Customs and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with customs regulations, environmental standards, and other relevant regulations governing transportation and logistics activities in the offshore construction setting.

§ Inventory Control: Implement robust inventory control measures for construction materials and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking, timely replenishment, and efficient allocation to meet project demands.

§ Personnel Transportation: Coordinate the safe and efficient transportation of construction personnel to and from the offshore island, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

§ Maintenance Management: Ensure that maintenance activities are completed, and compliance to statutory legislation, company rules and procedures, and Health & Safety policy.

§ BSc degree in a relevant field

§ Extensive experience as a Logistics Manager in a construction or offshore setting.

§ In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and marine operations.

§ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to manage complex logistics operations in a remote or offshore environment.
