- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that landscape construction is progressing according to approved plans and specifications. Verify that grading, planting, irrigation, and other landscape elements are installed correctly and in compliance with the design.
- Ensure that all landscape installations adhere to local building codes, zoning regulations and environmental ordinances. Verify that the project meets accessibility and safety standards.
- Review and analyze landscape plans, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements. Verify that all required permits and approvals are in place before construction begins.
- Monitor the quality of materials used in landscape construction as well as identify and address any deviations from the approved plans or specifications.
- Collaborate with other inspectors, contractors, landscape architects, and project managers to address issues and ensure smooth project progression.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, including photos, reports and any non-compliance issues.
- Stay informed about changes in landscape design standards, construction techniques, and relevant regulations.
