Landscape engineer

Engineering degree in horticulture, agriculture, botany or other related field.
Proficiency in oral and written English.
Knowledge, skill and ability:
Knowledge of plant and insect diseases.
Knowledge of fertilizers/plant nutrients etc.
Knowledge of plant names, hardscape, construction, excavation, grading, drainage systems and sand dune removal.
Ability to communicate effectively, provide information and respond to questions, orally and in writing.
Ability to provide good customer satisfaction with good service.
Productivity and costs associated with producing, operating and maintaining nursery facilities and producing plants.
Ability to train sub-leaders.
Extensive knowledge about botany, growing seasons and climate zones is essential.
Ability to organize, multi-task, plan ahead, and set priorities with minimal supervision.
EXPERIENCE:
At least five (5) years of supervisory experience in planting and protecting trees and plants from diseases and insect pests.
Extensive knowledge of nursery plants such as palms, general trees, shrubs, climbers, hedges and seasonal plants.
Experience in plant pruning/mowing of plants grown in a nursery or any landscaped area.
