Infrastructure BIM Modeler
Minimum requirements.
7+ years of experience in creating Gravity & Pressurize network catalogues, Surface, alignment, profile, assemblies, road corridors, sample lines, surface,
annotating and code style set, take-off quantities, wet utilities (gravity and pressure networks)
including creating a wet utility plan, and profile, editing profile labelling and profile band, adding / editing
pipes and fitting to catalogue, creating custom structure and editing pipe size, and modelling of dry utilities.
cables, structures, light pole, PF and ST etc..… crossing duct, data shortcuts, clash analyses matrix.
report and solving clashes,
Responsibilities:
- Creating custom structure using part builder. (Gravity Networks)
- Adding pipes and fittings to the content catalogue (Pressurized Networks).
- Experience in BIM Software (Civil3D & Navisworks)
- Knowledge of CAD/BIM standards.
- Knowledge of LODs 300, 350 400 and 500.
- Must have skills in Drafting/Modelling skills in Civil 3D such as (Roads, Electrical, Telecom and streetlight, Sewerage, Storm, Potable, Fire and irrigation etc.) utilities.
- Good knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, with experience in clash detection/Resolution and producing clash reports.
- Work closely with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure the project’s compliance with the given policies and processes, and to ensure timely implementation and completion.
- Works with BIM lead, Design Leads and Engineers to develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures, and to ensure timely implementation and completion.
- Using BIM software and tools to coordinate design documentation.
- Understand the BIM modelling process and able to manage all BIM-related activities from project start-up to project completion.
- Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards, in accordance with the company QA/QC process.
- Good knowledge of content creation and ability to create different types of parametric and non-parametric families.
- Good knowledge of BIM, understanding LOD requirements and BIM processes and can prepare BEP, MIDP and EIR.
- Prepare technical drafting and modelling drawings for the infrastructure (Utilities) Department.
- Collaboration and coordination with other disciplines on design changes and model development tasks.
- Liaise with Project Engineers on information requirements, project progress, and any potential delays.
- Utilizing Civil3D and Navisworks to coordinate interference/clash detection and resolutions.
- Creating engineering drawings from the models.
- Contribute to the effective functioning of the team by identifying with and contributing to the team’s objectives, communicating and sharing knowledge.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
