HSSE Advisor

Responsibilities

• Be fully familiar with contract requirements, policies and procedures and ensure that requirements related to Wood Madrid office operations are implemented
• Maintain HSSE management system documentation
• Perform risk analysis and HSSE assessment
• Promote HSSE culture in the workplace
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local legal and statutory requirements related to HSSE
• Maintain complete records and reports of HSSE management activities
• Plan and coordinate staff education and training in HSSE
• Communicate health and safety action plans, concerns and decisions to staff
• Conduct safety observations to identify unsafe behaviors or conditions to reduce losses or near-loss incidents and reinforce good safety behavior
• Carry out periodic HSSE inspections and follow up on any deficiencies observed
• Investigate and report any incident that requires such action. Monitoring the medical treatment of any injured person
• Implement proactive measures to stop accidents/incidents, unsafe behaviors/conditions and prevent their recurrence through promotions, campaigns and talks/training
• Manage necessary HSSE records and registers
• Serve as liaison with the project-designated medical center on first aid and medical treatment.
• Participate in planning and execution of emergency response exercises, inspection and update of relevant emergency response documentation.
• Manage Business Activities Coordination issues (Coordinación de Actividades Empresariales)
  

Qualifications

• Certified as a higher level technician in Occupational Risk Prevention (técnico de grado superior de Prevención Riesgos Laborales) at a minimum with a specialty in occupational health & safety.
• Only people with a valid Spanish work permit can be considered
• Emergency Response or international HSSE training and qualification will be considerd as added value
• Fluent in Spanish
• Fluent in English
