•Supervise and coordinate all team members ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous service and that all work areas are operated in accordance with standard resort procedures and policies.
•Responsible for running the department.
•To defend daily concept requests, maintenance requests etc. to ensure that there is no discrepancy or late closing.
•To assist in documenting projects such as department meetings and trainings.
•To liaise closely with Front Office and Engineering regarding preventive maintenance and pest control programme.
•Responsible for a smooth handover from day shifts to evening shifts and coordinating with the front desk regarding late check-out that will impact midnight transfer.
•To assist the Evening Supervisor in developing improved housekeeping and developing excellent customer awareness skills.
•Responsible for linking room service and front desk coordinators to ensure daily room handover is perfectly linked to guest arrival patterns at the front desk.
•To communicate with Duty Manager regarding VIP guest arrivals to ensure room preference.
•To champion daily metrics for productivity, time, movement, etc. to ensure tasks are not duplicated.
•Conducting checks on all areas daily.
•Coordinate and manage additional cleaning schedules and special tasks, ensuring all rooms and floor areas are in accordance with hotel standards.
•Monitor and report to the Rooms Department Manager regarding the maintenance of furniture, facilities and equipment.
•Communicate well with team members while ensuring effective performance management.
•Ensure that all team members are punctual, in correct uniform, on time and completely professional.
•Conduct daily meetings with the team ensuring they are provided with correct and updated information to carry out their duties effectively.
•Determine and ensure the highest possible standards of cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and corridors.
