About the role

The Finance team is an integral part of any business. At Revolut we take that one step further. Our global financial super app would be lost without them. Theyre more than just an important part of the business theyre our backbone. Internal accounting Thats a good start. Supporting all areas of the company and assessing financial implications from various key strategic decisions and growth opportunities this is what our financial people do all day long. We are looking for a Head of Finance to join our UAE team. This role will have exposure to own the general ledger manage the implementation of robust financial controls and the development of scalable accounting automation. If you have a strong track record in an Audit or Financial Controller role have a genuine interest in accounting automation and want the opportunity to push the limit of what you are capable of then we want to know. What youll be doing

• Managing finances and overseeing financial control in UAE
• Owning the general ledger and building an objective understanding for all its underlying transactions
• Looking for synergies and automation opportunities within Accounting and wider Finance
• Coordinating the accounting and month end closing process
• Ensuring accurate and timely closing of the books for monthly and annual reporting
• Preparing analysis on movements in key general ledger accounts
• Managing the accounting policy ensuring that it is up to date and latest changes in IFRS and Group policies are implemented
• Supporting entity set up in UAE
• Participating in annual and interim audits
• Contributing to and define consolidation as well as financial control processes and procedures
• Preparing/reviewing management and statutory reporting

What youll need

• 10 years of experience in finance functions preferably with experience within a banking or financial services environment
• To be a chartered Accountant trained in a reputable practise
• Strong accounting knowledge with proven experience
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to unravel complex accounting queries
• Knowledge of UAE tax regulations
• Ability to comprehend and narrate financial records for external stakeholders
• To have a positive attitude: Can do approach and willing to give everything a go from manual processing to larger projects
• To be a selfmotivated individual who can work under their own initiative
• Exceptional organisation skills: ability to plan and organise work so that it is efficient and effective
• Good punctuality and time management skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
