On behalf of our client one of the largest estate management firms in the UAE we are looking for a Head of Building Consultancy to lead the Valuation & Advisory division.
Job Purpose
The role is to manage and operate the Building Consultancy department. They are the focal point of contact for all client interaction and ensure all contractual requirements and obligations are met. The Head of Department will be required to build and develop effective relationships with respective
Clients and oversee the delivery all ongoing and upcoming instruction for both Project Management Consultancy and Building Surveying skill lines.
The Head of shall set realistic objectives which are aligned towards achieving the department goals. They will be responsible for monitoring and measuring the progress of these department making adjustments when or if necessary.
The Head of Building Consultancy shall be responsible for developing a business plan that identifies and addresses both immediate and future needs.
Roles Responsibilities Duties:
Leadership & Management
o Provide strategic direction and leadership to the building consultancy team.
o Manage and mentor a team of building surveyors ensuring their professional development.
o Coordinate and allocate resources to projects effectively.
o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Project Management
o Oversee and manage multiple building consultancy projects concurrently.
o Develop project plans timelines and budgets in consultation with clients and stakeholders.
o Monitor project progress identify potential risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
o Ensure projects are delivered within agreedupon timeframes and budgets.
Client Management
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients understanding their needs and objectives.
o Act as the main point of contact for key client accounts ensuring excellent client satisfaction.
o Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on building surveying matters.
o Identify opportunities for business development and foster new client relationships.
Technical Expertise
o Conduct detailed building surveys inspections and condition assessments.
o Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on building defects maintenance and renovation requirements.
o Provide expert advice on building regulations compliance and statutory requirements.
o Advise clients on building design specifications and construction methods.
Compliance and Regulations
o Stay updated with current building regulations legislation and industry best practices.
o Ensure projects adhere to relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
o Identify potential legal and compliance risks and provide appropriate recommendations.
o Liaise with regulatory authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
Business Development
o Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand the client base.
o Participate in networking events industry conferences and professional organizations.
o Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing strategies and promotional materials.
o Stay abreast of market trends and competitors to inform business strategies.
Quality Assurance
o Ensure that all building surveying services meet highquality standards and client expectations.
o Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures.
o Conduct regular reviews and audits to assess the performance and effectiveness of the team.
o Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
