Job Description

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients in the freight forwarding industry, conducting market research to assess opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with both existing and potential clients, understanding their logistics needs and challenges.
  • Customized Solutions: Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored logistics and supply chain solutions that address the specific requirements and objectives of clients.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets within assigned accounts and territories.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities for revenue growth, upselling additional services, and expanding business with existing clients.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitor strategies to adapt sales strategies effectively.
  • Performance Metrics: Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales success, including revenue, profit margins, and client retention rates.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular and transparent communication with clients, providing updates on services, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Sales Presentations: Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to clients, showcasing the value of the organization's services.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize logistics and supply chain management software to support sales efforts and provide accurate information to clients.
  • Contract Compliance: Ensure that all contractual obligations and commitments are met, including service level agreements and reporting requirements.
  • Forecasting: Provide accurate revenue forecasts and sales projections based on client interactions and market analysis.
  • Client Feedback: Gather and analyze client feedback to identify areas for service enhancements and process improvements.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets associated with sales activities, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Market Expansion: Explore opportunities for entering new markets or expanding services to better serve client needs.
  • Networking: Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to generate leads and gather market intelligence.
  • Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
