Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Engineer to join the This Company Loss Prevention organization (LP) which is the corporate safety organization within This Company. We provide both daytoday infield occupational and process safety support to This Company operations as well as centralized technical support and consulting function. Our field offices are located in Abqaiq Riyadh Ras Tanura Dhahran Udhailiyah Jeddah (including Yanbu and Jazan) and Tanajib. Through these offices LP provides its services to all This Company facilities and departments that are located throughout the Kingdom.

Your primary role as a Safety Engineer (Loss Prevention Engineer) is to provide daily support to company facilities and departments helping them effectively implement the This Company Safety Management System (Occupational & Process Safety) expectations and associated programs as well as assuring compliance to all company safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the implementation of the This Company Safety Management System including its objectives and expectations by developing associated safety processes and participating in selfassessments.
  • Conduct field inspections and reviews to assess compliance with company and international codes and standards identify safety concerns formulate solutions and develop practical and costeffective corrective actions.
  • Identify evaluate recommend actions and follow up on critical safety tasks and control methodologies related to operational safety practices (e.g. work at height isolation/LOTO permit to work hydrogen sulfide confined space entry excavations).
  • Participate in safety studies and activities using risk assessment and mitigation methodologies such as PHAs HAZOPs JSAs incident investigations compliance reviews or insurance surveys.
  • Respond to emergency situations and incidents providing technical assistance and advice during or after regular working hours.
  • Participate in worksite contractor safety management activities including contractor selection and prequalification monitoring work site compliance and measuring performance.
  • Support the reporting classification and investigation of all incidents participating in incident investigations to determine root causes and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Deliver Loss Preventionspecific training to employees contractors and outside parties.
  • Mentor other Loss Prevention personnel.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an Accredited Institution.
  • Possess seven years of experience as a safety professional in the oil and gas petrochemicals or related industries with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Comprehensive experience covering both occupational and process safety.
  • Excellent communication skills in English capable of effectively communicating with peers and management.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise oral and written reports in English.
